The 2024 Toyota Tacoma has been completely redesigned, marking the start of a new generation for the popular mid-size pickup, now built on the robust TNGA-F global truck platform shared with the Tundra and Sequoia. This redesign brings two new powerful and efficient powertrains: a turbocharged 2.4-liter i-FORCE four-cylinder engine, delivering up to 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, and an available i-FORCE MAX hybrid system which boasts 326 horsepower and a segment-leading 465 lb-ft of torque. Off-road capability is significantly improved with an available coil-spring multi-link rear suspension (replacing leaf springs on many grades) and a new Trailhunter trim built for overlanding. Inside, the cabin is modernized with available features like a large 8$14$-inch touchscreen display, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and standard Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, ensuring the new Tacoma is well-equipped for both daily driving and serious adventure.

Off-road enthusiasts benefit from features like the available multi-link rear suspension, a Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism (SDM), and specialized trims like the rugged Trailhunter and the Baja-inspired TRD Pro, which now features segment-first IsoDynamic Performance Seats. With minor updates for 2025, such as standard front tow hooks on all trims and an increase in power for the available auxiliary switches, the Tacoma blends legendary toughness with contemporary technology and an improved ride quality.
